Those are usually my starting points. On jmnio math, I explore mathematical ideas. Next up is jmnio — Data Stories, where I’ll explore the data behind stories. Here, I take that curiosity further through Python projects, interactive explainers, and learning games.
I'm John, an instructional designer at NTT DATA in Toronto. Helping people understand complex ideas is my day job—and apparently what I choose to do outside work, too.

My current work brings together complex subject matter, clear communication, and learning design.
What I worked on ＋
- Developed 30+ training materials, including learning modules, presentations, and job aids, for 130 employees.
- Collaborated with 10+ subject matter experts across 5 teams to translate complex processes into learning content for 2 training initiatives.
- Reviewed and updated 30+ learning materials based on feedback from 3 stakeholders to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability.

From an AI idea to a working tool: chat, Python, and the pipeline connecting them.
What I worked on ＋
- Built and managed CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft Azure.
- Developed a chatbot that enabled users to interact with Python environments and functions.

- Executed social media plans that increased follower growth by 22% and engagement by 30% within four months.

Made survey and geographic data easier for stakeholders to interpret.

- Analyzed election results across 3+ states to support strategic planning.
- Created assembly-level maps in QGIS to communicate geographic trends.
